Sean D. Janas poisoned a German Shepherd named Mary with Drano and Bleach for months on end while gleefully recording her sadism in a journal. Finally, she slit Mary's throat. Sean D. Janas is clearly a deranged and dangerous individual who is a threat to society. It is time for courts to recognize how serious animal cruelty is and treat abuses against animals like the egregious crimes they are. This is one of the most horrific cases imaginable; Mary's suffering went on for months and she had no way to escape or hope of rescue. In her memory and honor, we urge that Sean D. Janas be given the maximum penalty which would be 5 years in jail.  Anything less is unacceptable.  We are Mary's voice.
