The HOA (Homeowners Association) has too much power that not even the elected officials or the court of law don't want to mess with the HOA.  How could a homeowner who has legally brought a home with hard earn money be told that your property is going to be sold because of fines or HOA Dues. yes those things should be paid but when difficulty's occur and these fines or dues can't be met, try calling them and 90% of the time it is a machine talking to you or no answer but give them a call about pool pass and sometimes you get a call back.  the HOA has too much power and the sad thing is - if they don''t like you, they could make your living situationinto a nightmare.  I think those who have issues with the HOA should speak out to your Congressman and Senators, let them know what you as a homeowner think.  I have written numerous letters to President Obama but have gotten no reply back that deals with the issue of the HOA abuse - we own our homes and take pride in it....don't tell me what to do with my property unless you the HOA is going to pay for it.
