Let's look at the facts: Our economy is in ruins. Statistics show we're nearing unemployment rates to rival the Great Depression. The corporations pay our elected officials' way into office and, in doing so, effectively control the government. There is even a law identifying these entire corporate entities as "people", which legally allows them to dump unlimited funds behind political candidates, effectively buying out our government to serve their will. They put our economy into ruin to line their own pockets and they will KEEP IT THERE.

This is where the American people come in: Christmas is a HUGE time for sales. If everyone in America, or even just a large chunk of the population, avoided buying ANYTHING during that time, it would be a loss of BILLIONS total for those corporations. They trashed our economy to insure their own gold-lined pockets. If we band together in this, they'll be forced to FIX our economy for the very same reason!
