WE, the citizens of the world, urge you to become, and to support, a fundamentally more transparent financial system!

WHY?
Secretive financial practices promote corruption, fraud and malpractice
- and have contributed to the current financial crisis!

In Europe, over 30 Billion Euros a year are lost to fraud and corruption!
In developing countries, the number is estimated to be 20-40 Billion Euros.

It's our right and your duty therefore, to start on a path towards greater financial transparency. For instance, you could insist that public project payments are shown to the public in real time. Granting
us timely access to foreign aid bank accounts would empower citizens "on the ground" to instantly review payments and raise fraud and corruption alerts.

Let's fight the democracy-damaging-cycle of corruption and distrust using financial transparency!

YOU and adopting organisations can benefit too! Organisations that adopt more transparent approaches will be rewarded with increased trust, customer engagement and good publicity. For instance, people would prefer to donate to transparent charities.

The "Occupy Wall Street" movement demonstrates strong public distrust of the currently established financial systems.
