Lashawn ChilliousPetition StarterI'm a twenty-four year old single mother who wants to give my five-year-old son a better world than the one he's currently growing up in. I want him to have a world where homelessness is eradicated, where children aren't starving to death, where everyone has access to affordable health care and clean drinking water. I want him to grow up and inherit a world that has hope and believes that if we come together, anything is possible. I know that right now these ideals are merely dreams, but it's up to us right now to make them a reality for the next generation. "Today we begin in earnest the work of making sure that the world we leave our children is just a little bit better than the one we inhabit today."--President Barack Obama
