Help us keep the train in Oglethorpe Mall

The Issue

Oglethorpe Mall of Savannah, Georgia is currently in the process of getting rid of the children's train that operates near the food court.  We've taken action against this for multiple reasons, the most pressing one being the issue of workers rights.

The reason for this is an unfortunate incident in which a handicapped patron was hit by it. While this is terrible it has everything to do with user error and nothing to do with the train itself. If the owners of this mall want to take any kind of action, they should fire the driver responsible . Another course of action we could take is to install tracks so that there will always be a set path. This would prevent events like this from happening again while keeping a mall feature that children clearly love to use. I'd also like to point out that the train's removal would take away the livelihood of innocent people. We can all agree that jobs are extremely difficult to find in these tough economic times. It's unjust to fire one worker for the mistakes of another.

Please sign this petion to help us ensure the continued employment of innocent workers and keep a beloved establishment of our local mall.
