During these time of national debt, Congress is using military pay as a ploy to hold out on passing the budget. They warn if the government is shut down military will not receive pay. This is the last thing our troops need! The BRAVE men and women of this country that are overseas do not NEED to be worrying about their families being able to pay their bills. Even the troops stationed here! They work 12+ hours a day preparing for deployment and supporting troops overseas! With different threats and tensions, our military could be deployed anytime. They are constantly leaving on training missions, which creates tons of stress in their lives and in their families lives. Military families do not NEED this senseless worry. What they need to be worrying about is defending our country and supporting their family that is in the military! Please help the military and support our troops to continue to receive their pay.

UPDATE: Pass a bill which guarantee military pay during a shutdown, as is done with Veteran pay and retirees pay, with no extra riders. Just a guarantee on military pay.
