For 15 years, Congress has blocked the city government’s ability to use locally raised funds to provide low-income women with access to safe, legal abortion care.

The good news is that House and Senate are taking action on a bill to repeal this discriminatory ban. However, anti-choice members of Congress are trying to reinsert the ban as this bill moves forward.

Please join NARAL for two nights of phone banks, calling other pro-choice activists and ask them to contact their members of Congress on this important matter.

No other jurisdiction or state is told how to use its locally raised revenue. It is time for Congress to end this ban.
