Right now, it is only a state crime, and the majority of the time, they just get a fine for killing innocent animals, and if they do get jail time, it's less than a year. Animals can't speak out and say that someone hurt them, so we have to speak for them. They love you no matter what and are always loyal to you, and sometimes horrible people take advantage of that.
