I just signed the following petition addressed to: City of Aurelio Iowa District Court.

Allow James Sak to keep Snickers, a pit bull mix,at his home

A retired Chicago police officer, Sak, 64, has been disabled since having a stroke three years ago. The couple's dog, Snickers, was trained as a service dog to assist him at home.The couple moved to Aurelia in November so Leifer, an Aurelia native, could help care for her elderly mother. Within days, 36 Aurelia residents had signed a petition requesting the city to enforce its bit bull ordinance against Sak and Leifer.

According to Aurelio City pit bull ordinance, Snickers will euthanized if found within Aurelio's city limits.
