This stretch of beach lies between Ma'alaea Harbor, and Kealia Pond, both extremely sensitive areas for birds and assorted marine mammals, not the least of which are the humpback whales, and the green Hawaiian sea turtles. This is a heavily used stretch of beach, and there is no place for anyone to properly dispose of their trash. HC&SC make huge profits growing sugar cane here on Maui, they should also be responsible for keeping their part of the island clean like the rest of us do.
