I saw a petition that wanted to change Derpy's name back to Ditzy because it is "offensive" to the disabled. I think that naming this pony Derpy (which is a named that was created by the community) has helped unite the audience and the maker's of My Little Pony in an unique way. Derpy's name has no association with the mentally disabled and is just meant to be silly and fun, not insulting. Just relax and unclench your butthole people, jeese.
