This is an important issue for both pet owners and non pet owners in our buildings. After work, I know it is hard to make it to one of the local dog parks before dark to let our dogs off their leashes and let them exert all of their pent up energy. By building a fenced off area on site, it will solve many apartment issues. It will start by helping pet owners exercise their dogs thus reducing the amount of energy and noise they produce after being cooped up all day, eliminate the fear of having one of our beloved pets get struck by a vehicle on Gallows Road, and for those residents afraid of dogs, it will provide an extra barrier of protection between you and the animal. An added benefit to this addition would be a potential increase in interested leasers by adding yet another appealing amenity at Halstead Square. The way I look at it, the situation is a WIN, WIN, WIN for all parties involved.
