The sad and scary episode of yesterday, Saturday, January 8, 2011, teaches us that intolerance and weapons can kill thousands of people, can hurt the ones we love.

It's time to hold and prosecute those who incite hatred and intolerance. This episode is an attack on every American citizen. It is a crime against democracy, respect and unity.

Lately we have witnessed the incitement of violence including by politicians who in reality should serve this country and seek the best for all citizens, rather than seeking to satisfy the interests of a few individuals and elites. The politicians of this country need to understand that the wealth of a country is its people and its culture. What really matters is the people and their happiness.

Did America not learn? Extremism is just wrong. As American citizens we remember what caused September 11. Terrorism? Yes! But mostly extremism.

We let ourselves be contaminated by extremism. We have to stop, think and reflect.

Each day this country becomes more extreme. Whether in relation to immigrants or in connection with the construction of a Muslim community center. I wonder if the attack of September 11 was caused by terrorists Catholic or Buddhist, or terrorists from any other religion, does anyone of that religion that wanted to build a spiritual center in the same place that they want to build Muslim community center would face so much controversy and prejudice.

We  have to live with differences and try to overcome them. We need to respect diversity.

This episode once again comes slap in the face of thousands of Americans. Today there is a resistance in the country when it comes to firearms. Is not it time to ban the sale of firearms to civilians?

Has been proved after thousands of incidents that many people do not have a good psychological state and therefore can not afford to have a firearm at home.

We need to be less selfish and give up weapons. What is the real need for a firearm at home?

It seems that the mentality of people these last years full of tragedies caused by firearms has not changed yet. People are still hypocrites and selfish. Run rather than risk giving up the firearms. This is very sad. The firearms industry is thankful. They're making a lot of money while thousands die for nothing.

 It seems that the United States stopped in time. It seems that we live in the old west. Let me see if I understand the point of having a gun at home? People have their own gun and can solve problems with your own hands. Take justice into their own hands in the Modern State in the XXI century? This causes me amazement and wonder! Justice is the duty of the state and public security is the duty of the police!

No more deaths, no more violence, no more suffering, no more pain!
