Stop Pit Bull Theft in Greenville County SC and its surrounding

The Issue

This group was founded to tackle the growing industry of stolen Pit Bull in Greenville SC area. The Group was inspired by Mission. A Pit-Bull dog that was dragged from his kennel leaving his claw marks on the concrete, in complete day light.

Clara Bair, a mother of three little children who’s father is deployed to Afghanistan, contacted Law Enforcement to report that her dog was missing. Not only the officers, first failed to arrive to the scenery, but they also told her “get use to not seeing him again”

Desperate to find her beloved dog, Clara called in on her friend Jasmine Shelton, founder of Jazzy Pit Bulls Kennel and Rescue. Together the two started a campaign to bring Mission Back Home. I joined along the way.

Since Mission was dog-napped on January 31st, a total of 21 more Pit Bulls were stolen in the area. The Richland county Animal Shelter was broken into twice. At least six Pit Bulls disappeared, one which was pregnant.

A "dump site" was found in Lauren's county, SC, where 5 dead pit bulls were found in bags. Most likely the dead dogs didn’t fight well and were executed

The little information available about these cases point out to a serious Pit Bull fighting operation. The burglars, who walk into our neighbors’ back yard in complete day light, obviously are not concerned with law enforcement retaliation. We dement that the burglars will be brought to justice.

Pit Bulls are stolen for fighting and are also used as dog bait, a practice target for dogs training to fight.
