*   Most Tertiary students have limited funds, and with cost of living increasing significantly each year, paying exorbitant prices for public transport means it is more difficult to make ends meet.

 *   Auckland, Palmerston North and many other cities around NZ and the world have Public Transport specials for Tertiary students.

 *   Many students drive to their institutions because petrol is CHEAPER than public transport. In a city that is trying to promote a "green" image, this is simply not acceptable. Students care about these issues and access to more affordable public transport would reduce traffic congestion on the roads.

What we want is:

A fair tertiary student fare on public transport around the Greater Wellington Region.

Come on Wellington Regional Council, help our city grow by giving tertiary students a helping hand!
