Allow Hunter Spanjer to keep his name.

The Issue

I do not know this child, however, his cause touched my heart. The article below explains the situation, but in a nutshell, this less than brilliant school district is telling this deaf child that he can no longer use the sign for his name, Hunter, because the sign language gesture is considered to be too violent. The American's with Disabilities Act states that any reasonable accommodation is to be made for disabled persons and, well silly me, I personally believe it is reasonable to let this young man keep his name. Please join me in telling the Grand Island Public School District in Nebraska to leave this child in peace and allow him to keep his name.
