There is importance in not to say all sex offenders should not hold, or be eligible for a medical license. Some sex offenses are pretty minor, such as the politician at the airport who by supposedly bumping his shoe into some undercover cop wanted sex, a sex offense. Likewise the use of prostitutes, while we may not like it, and it deserves punishment, what if a stressed out doctor went to a prostitute and got caught, now he is a sex offender on his time. Of course anyone who abuses patient trust should be gone, like that, but what if a prospective doctor at age 18 dated a 16 year old and they did a little more than just date, voluntarily, does that make him ineligible to be a doctor, just because he is now a sex offender bc the parents found out, Dear Governor, please ask the legislators to limit the scope of the bill.
