The state of California recently signed AB499, which will allow medical or educational establishments to vaccinate minors without parental consent. I feel this is extreme, as a parent deserves the right to decide whether their own child needs a vaccination. Some have religious exemptions, or allergies, and parents want to be able to do research on the vaccine before said is injected, as their may be allergic reactions, sickness from shared needles, or even serious side effects. I would like for Jerry Brown, the WHO and the State of California to overturn the measure. I understand that it is to protect the youth from diseases, however, it is up to a parent to make the final decision, and a bill such as AB499 intrudes on parental rights
