Whereas we believe in a creator who created all things (Genesis 1:1); and,

Whereas we believe the creator created human beings male and female (Genesis 1:27; Genesis 5:2; Genesis 6:19; Genesis 7:16; Numbers 5:3; Matthew 19:4; Mark 10:6); and,

Whereas we believe the creator initiated and instituted marriage, not as a civil act, but as a divine covenant between a man and a woman (Genesis 2:22-24; Matthew 19:6; Matthew 19:6; Mark 10:9); and,

Whereas we believe that marriage between a man and woman is the only acceptable biblical standard for sex and procreation (Genesis 2:4; Exodus 20:14; Leviticus 20:10; Deuteronomy 5:18; Proverbs 6:32; 1 Corinthians 6:18-20; 7:2); and,

Whereas effeminacy and sexual acts between persons of the same gender are prohibited by Scripture and goes against their very purpose (Leviticus 18:22, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Romans 1:26-28; 1 Corinthians 6:9; Jude 1:7), and,

Whereas the Title 16 of the Virgin Islands Code defines marriage as between a man and a woman,

We the undersigned being adult residents of the U.S Virgin Islands willingly and voluntarily with ONE VOICE uphold the current Virgin Islands law defining marriage as being between a man and a woman, and vow to withhold and/or withdraw support from, and resist steadfastly, any and all efforts to enact any legislation legalizing same sex marriage in the USVI.
