There are increasing reports of leopards being hunted, shot, the clubbed to death in the Pakistani Controlled Kashmiri region, a number of which have been killd in recent days, as these wild animals are coming into populated areas looking for food, as their habitat is being rapidly reduced due to deforestation, mining, etc.We Want to stop this but The Govt of Jammu Kashmir has not done anything yet to protect these animals, and prosecute those responsible. 'Murder' of these animals is illegal in this area, and demands a month jail sentence, along with a heavy fine. But it is thought that those responsible are not being prosecuted because of support by local corrupt politicians.
