<p>Sept. 2, 2009, Nominations Now Open<br /><br />2010 Gates Award for Global Health<br /><br />Celebrating 10 years of Excellence in Global Health<br /><br />Nomination Submission Deadline Oct. 31, 2009<br /><br /><br />Join us as we celebrate 37 years as the premier annual event in global health.<br /><br />The Gates Award for Global Health was established by the Bill &amp; Melinda Gates Foundation to reward and showcase organizations that have made major and lasting contributions to the field of global health. The award includes an honorarium <br />of $1 million. <br /><br />The Council invites you to nominate an organization from any country in the world that has substantively improved the health and the lives of people in need.
