Your administration recently informed me that they would reduce pollution by 83% by 2050. This is simply putting off the issue and is unacceptable. I believe we can accomplish the same goal and perhaps more by 2020 if we simply decide to and make it happen, similar to the space program in the sixties. The role of government is to protect the actual people, not corporations or the economy. The health of the people comes first. The reduction of pollution should also extend to material waste, which should be altogether eliminated through planning and recycling. The existence of endless landfills, trash, and gigantic garbage patches in oceans does not make sense, and is obviously unsustainable. Everything can and should be recycled. If we want humanity to be sustained, we must live in a sustainable way. Now is the opportunity to let outdated methods fail and construct a world that works.

This is not about words and promises, this is about concrete actions.
