Ban circus's that use exotic animals

The issue

Please ban all animal circuses and do not allow animal circuses into our city.

Bears, elephants, tigers, and other animals do not voluntarily ride bicycles, stand on their heads, balance on balls, or jump through rings of fire. They perform these trick because they're afraid of what will happen if they don't.

For animals in circuses, there is only varying degrees of punishment and deprivation. To force them to perform these meaningless and physically uncomfortable tricks, trainers use whips, tight collars, muzzles, electric prods, bullhooks, and other painful tools of the trade.

Circus animal spend much of their lives in confined areas too small for them to even turn around. They spend their lives in chains and live in fear of their painful training sessions.

Our city should not be associated with animal abuse. We need to send a message, that our city does not support on condone the horrible way these wonderful animals are treated. Let us teach our children peace and compassion. It is not okay to beat an animal for profit or entertainment.
