GIVE BACK YOUR RAISE, KATY ISD!!
GIVE BACK YOUR RAISE, KATY ISD!!
The Issue
We are all aware of the difficult times Katy ISD teachers and students are facing at the end of this school year. Beloved teachers are losing their jobs due to no fault of their own because of severe budget cuts imposed upon the school district due to lack of funding by the State of Texas. Students are having to face seeing their teachers being fired/let go/laid off/non-renewed right in the middle of the school day because the school district will no longer have funding to pay their salaries after this school year.
HOWEVER, the Superintendent of the school district gets to enjoy a 12% raise this year despite all the financial hardships. That amounts to more than a $30,000 raise, which would pay the salary of at least a paraprofessional for an entire year.
If you think this is WRONG, please sign this petition! If you think Alton Frailey should give back his raise, show your support by signing this petition!
