The BAPL provides Freemansburg residents with access to the world. The library is a place for kids to develop a voracious appetite for literature, for ESL parents to learn the skills to be able to better communicate with their children and their children's teachers, for people like me, who love e-books.

Our town just received 875k to renovate and build our police station, can't some of the budget be reallocated? A more educated society is a society with less crime.  We have parades, bonfires, and community events, while these are nice, none of them trump the world that the library (and free internet access) brings to the community.

The economy is a mess right now, don't take away the people's ability to better themselves.
