Hada is Southern (Inner) Mongolia's best-known political dissident and human rights activist.

Chinese authorities have held him incommunicado in a secret location since December 10, 2010, his scheduled release date from a 15-year prison sentence imposed after he founded the Southern Mongolian Democratic Alliance.

Earlier in December, Hada's  wife Xinna and son Uiles also were arrested and remain in custody as the Chinese government continues to persecute this family. These human rights violations are outrageous on their face, but this case also epitomizes the abysmal state of human rights conditions in China.

We ask President Obama to instruct U.S. Secretary of State Hilary Clinton to make Hada's case a high priority in discussions with the Chinese government and to condemn the Chinese violations of the basic human rights of Hada and his family.

Detailed information about Hada and the events surrounding his arbitrary detention can be found at www.SMHRIC.org .

The Chinese government's lack of respect for the rule of law is intolerable to anyone who values democratic principles.

Martin Luther King stated, he who accepts evil without protesting against it is really cooperating with it so please express your solidarity with Hada and his family by signing this petition for their immediate release.
