BP Destroys savannah and Threatens Rainforests in Brazil
BP is planning to invest 4 billion Euros in Brazil for the production of sugar cane ethanol. Their first ethanol refinery started production last year and a second one is in planning. Ethanol is lucrative, due to government targets for agrofuels. They have actively lobbied for such targets, including in the US, EU and UK. Sugar cane ethanol requires vast plantations which are destroying Brazil’s Cerrado savannah and threatens rainforests.
Please sign a petition against BP’s agrofuel investment.

Encourage World Bank to Permanently End Oil Palm Financing
The recently announced IFC suspension on oil palm finance is only temporary, must encourage Bank to make it permanent.
Ombudsman report on 20 years of corrupt World Bank Group, IFC lending to the Indonesian oil palm industry casts doubt on Bank's involvement in oil palm industry, yet the suspension of oil palm funding is only temporary.
The World Bank Group must permanently end all financial support for oil palm and other industrial rainforest developments known to be the root causes of deforestation, degradation and climate change.

✩ Forests, Life Rights
<b>& the Laws of Life ✩</b>
<b>✩</b> Forests are one of Nature's most important ways to help us counteract global weather extremes.
<b>✩</b> Trees also 'create' our atmosphere & the very air we breathe --- as do plants in general, but trees are the biggest and toughest & can do the most the fastest if we don't destroy them.
<b>✩</b> (please see Wangari MaaThai's work {among others} for substantiation).
I have barely begun to describe all the things that we owe to trees but these are a few of the most critical.
<b>✩</b> Further, a balance between all species of life forms is a necessity for all other life forms.
This is a natural LAW of the miracle of Life on Earth.
Man has absolutely no "impunity" from this LAW.
If man "punishes" the Earth 'HE' will also "punish" 'HIMSELF'.
<b>✩</b> Super-rich & super-powerful parasites have no right to sentence all the rest of Life to the "punishment" that 'HE' is bringing down on 'HIS' "own" head, a "punishment" so huge that all else will feel it too.
Indeed, we are feeling it already in every facet of Life.
Life is dying in astronomical numbers, including human beings.
<b>✩</b> It is our responsibility, as citizens of Planet Earth, to tell our mis-representatives what we see & how we think they should vote.
We have a lot of common sense & have a history of making good decisions when we are allowed access to <b>"FULL DISCLOSURE"!</b>
<b>✩</b> It is our so-called "Representatives" responsibility in our so-called "Democracy" to vote in favor of their constituents' decisions, OUR decisions.
To not do so indicates that they do not have the character necessary for the positions they hold.
<b>✩</b> We the People know that it is wrong to kill & we want our "Representatives" to vote in favor of all Life --- to vote with us & for us --- not against us or against Life.
Life includes all remaining forests.
We must protect them from all anti-life forces that choose to destroy them.
It is the only way we will have ANY future.
It is the only way we can protect ourselves from our own follies!

<em><b>"This we know: the earth does not belong to man, man belongs to the earth. All things are connected like blood that unites us all. Man did not weave the web of life, he is merely a strand in it. Whatever he does to the web, he does to himself."</b></em>
