Forest Hills Council members are charged with the protection of the fundamental rights of the Forest Hills community. This is accomplished by safeguarding the health, safety and welfare of all residents equally. The Local Bill of Rights Ordinance establishes the right of Forest Hills to local self-government, the right to clean water and air, as well as the rights of natural communities and ecosystems. The Ordinance states that all other privileges are subordinate to the fundamental rights of the Forest Hills community members.
