Investigate the suspicious death of Frederick Jermaine Carter
Dear sir/ms.,
Frederick Jermaine Carter of Greenwood, Miss. wandered away from his family home and was later found hanging from a tree. This occurred in December 2010.
Mississippi State Medical Examiner Dr. Adel Shaker has ruled that it was not a suicide, even though members of the predominately white town of Greenwood insist it was a suicide.
The FBI needs to investigate this case. Mississippi has a long history of lynching and suspicious deaths of black men.
I do not have confidence that this matter will be thoroughly investigated by local officials.
