Follow the Role Model

The Issue

So today is Earth Day and we all are going to do something that hopefully may bring some changes; which though may prove to be detrimental to the interests of a selected few, but certainly will bring smile in the lips of Mother Nature. So we pledge and so shall we celebrate.

For the past two months as I got acquainted with more and more people taking time out from their busy schedule to do something new, to do something innovative and to bring a change. actually in one line paving up the way to build a newer and stronger future for the coming generations to follow, I was flabbergasted with the amount of determination that exists among the so called common people not to mention the passion which belong to a league of it's own.

Just a few days back it came to my knowledge that I am not the only one who is passionate about this site in my own home, but there is someone more prudent and avid supporter of this endeavor. she is 10 years old and she is my younger cousin Rohini. She absolutely adores u guys and she keeps a chronological journal of all the activities that are going on. she actually checks everyday that whether I have signed all the petitions or not and if i do leave some out she quickly takes out her little black notebook and points me on that. she has a page for each of u guys and she has added printed photographs stamped on the top. Hmm...

she pointed out that there are some who should get more attention for the bulk of work he or she has undertaken and are not actually acknowledged. So when I thought about the future generations I was very proud that it is not all grey but there are bright light at the end of the tunnel and maybe its time that we abide by that.

So to me, the future is secure and are in very safe and sound hands! ...... and they should be our role model for our younger generations to teach. There is no hard and fast rule that role models should always be from high ranks, be it from the entertainment or sports industry or from the known social activists but if we can just reach out we can find someone from our own backyard. faces known but not motivated, smiles seen but not appreciated enough. Well we can start now....better late than never.

Congratulating Manuela Rodriguez foe a job well done.

The tune is played by rohini on her Yamaha keyboard. though I wanted to add the real vocals, but each time I tried that, youtube blocked the audio saying that it violates the copyright terms of WMG. she came up with the idea to bypass it by adding a midi track and I think it worked out fine.

next time we will talk about a very very special lady

Sourav RoyPetition StarterI don't want to be a help, I just want to play a part. I grew up in India and I am very proud to be one. I can assure u that there r plenty of people having good resources and network to help your cause in our country. I just get angry when they do not perform to their potential and limit themselves in the backyard despite having a superior intellect and unimaginable passion to bring change.
