RVR Horse Rescue of Riverview Florida is in need of your voice. They are currently in a legal battle to stay open and able to continue to rescue horses, over misinformation. The allegations against them are wrong and there is photographic proof of that.

They attempted to rescue two horses (mares). by donation, who were from an owner neglect case. The horses were in bad shape weight and skin wise, with one having other health issues. They were only able to keep the horses for less than two months before they were taken away from them with the claim that they had lost weight while in RVR's care. A real scale was never used to weigh the horses until after they were taken. Instead the method used to get their weight before donating them was a tape measure. Which is not enough to go on. 

With horses who are emaciated you must have a slow feed method, increasing feed a small amount at a time. It takes a long time to bring a horse back from such neglect, but I have personally been to this recues property, as well as have followed this rescue for over two years. I have seen first hand the worst cases come to them. Animals that most people would have completely given up on. But not RVR! They give every animal a chance to fight. They show them love they were never able to feel. They give them faith and courage. And if you look at that animal one year (or less) after being in the care of RVR Horse Rescue, you will see a changed animal. An animal you wouldnt even recognize.

I believe if enough supporters come together and ask The Mayor of Tampa, Bob Buckhorn, to please stand with us. Help us to keep RVR alive, so that RVR can keep these horses alive.
