Unfortunately, the Senate has failed to pass extensions for vital safety net programs.  H.R. 4213, the American Jobs and Closing Tax Loopholes Act, must provide much-needed relief for our most vulnerable citizens. The Senators who have been dragging their feet need to be reminded that this is a matter of upholding the common good. The social "safety net" serves us all and makes the whole nation stronger and more humane.  Tell your Senators to pass H.R. 4213 with provisions to help the unemployed and the vulnerable.
