The abillity to arc a a clean fast turn with big edge angles made ski racing cool again, and attractive to a new generation of skiers while simultaneously bringing back racers who had left the sport. FIS has continually tried and failed to make ski racing safer by regulating equipment. This latest attempt has single handily set ski racing back 20 years. Enough is enough. Let the ski manufacturers and athletes create the best equipment. Each new regulation arbitrarily retires thousands of fast race proven skis adding another layer of cost to ski companies, and junior athletes.
