Two year old Great Dane named Zack was starved to death by his owner Rose Neira, in November, 2010, however it would appear that the courts are not taking this sickening act of animal abuse seriously.
Police investigated the house of the Farmingdale NY woman, after receiving numerous calls from neighbors who expressed their concerns for the welfare of Zack, clearly their concerns fell on deaf ears. When police arrived at Neira's premises they found a severely emaciated Great Dane. Zacks bones were prodruding and his spine was visible. The dog was taken to Oyster Bay Animal Hospital and despite round the clock surgery and treatments, Zack died 10 days later.
Neira said she kept Zack in the kitchen and ONLY let him out once per night.

This sickening case of animal abuse is being delayed in the courts and that is simply not good enough. Neira ruthlessly allowed Zack to starve to death and must be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. The judge who recently heard the matter appeared to have very little intererest in hearing how Zack suffered, she simply adjourned the case AGAIN.

Rose Neira of NY starved her Great Dane Zack to death and now must be prosecuted to the full extent
Dear recipient
I have recently learnt of a very disturbing case of animal cruelty, committed at the hands of Rose Neira, of Farmingdale NY.
Neira ruthlessly starved 2 year old Great Dane, Zack, to death in November 2010, however it appears that the courts keep delaying this sickening cruelty case and this is simply not good enough.
This sickening case of animal abuse has made its way around the world and has of course shocked animal lovers, who expect animal abusers to be dealt with appropriately. It would appear that the judge who last heard this matter had very little interest in hearing how Zack suffered; this is very disturbing as animal abuse is frowned upon by the community.
I ask that Neira's case not be delayed again and that she be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
Thank you for your time.
Yours sincerely.
