Preemies, and children(and adults) depend on TPN (iv nutrition) when their bodies can not handle oral food. There has been an outburst of celebrities and wealthy men and women using the same IV nutrition that so many children needs to SURVIVE . Hashtags like, #hangovercure #ivtherapy #partygirldrip have swarmed instagram with photos of young, healthy adults being infused with what many of my close friends know as TPN. The "doctor" who is responsible for this calls himself the #ivdoctor, and treats "patients" for partying too hard, jet lag, or just lack of energy. There are drug shortages of trace elements, saline, multi vitamins and other crucial ingridents that keeps my son alive. Every time one of these "cocktails" are being used to treat these "patients" they are essentially taking away from children and adults like my son who depends on these crucial medications to live.
