This is a Facebook page attempts to argue that rape is not only okay but FUNNY. The page has received numerous removal requests, yet Facebook continues to defend its insensitive and disgusting message. The majority of the 160 people who "like" it on Facebook are people like myself who are enraged with its message & are publicly decrying it on the page itself.  No, this petition is not very popular, but the fact that Facebook is upholding its existence on the website says something about the standards of this online community.  As one of millions of Facebook users, I think we can do better. 

Facebook's Community Standards ban nudity and hate speech, which is defined as an attack based on, among other things, "sex, gender, sexual orientation." This Facebook page posts images making light of topics like raping one's sister and beating one's wife. If that isn't harassment toward a sex/gender, I don't know what is.

Approximately 1 out of 5 women will experience sexual assault at least once in their lifetime. A Facebook page like this can be triggering and hugely upsetting.

Facebook defines itself as a community, but I cannot see myself as a member of a community that willingly allows rape culture. Please ask Facebook to remove this page. Even if it is not a popular page, removing the page SAYS SOMETHING about what we as human beings consider appropriate ways to treat one another.
