The CACFP provides snacks and meals to 3 million children and seniors in daycare, homes, centers, and afterschool care; but 14 million children struggle with hunger in America daily. Currently, only 14 states receive aid for the programs that benefit "at-risk" children who only have consistent access to food through school. Because these children do not have access to food and proper nutrition, many do not even realize they are supposed to have three meals a day.
