Chandler Newberger is an important Youth Services Facility here in our community! Keeping youth involved in postitive activities in our community is critical - especially in light of the recent outbreaks in violence, shootings and gang activity. The City Manager is considering the closing of this facility due to a $63,000 budget shortfall. Since the City has an annual budget of over $198,000,000 -- certainly this can be solved. Perhaps just one fewer consultant, actually generating the $900,000+ dollars on yard waste stickers, the elimination of the duplicate Evanston Township and City of Evanston government entities and much-much more can save youth activities across our town.
