If you look "illegal", then that is reason enough to arrest you. We smell racial and ethnic profiling. How about you?

With the signing of Senate Bill 1070, Governor Jan Brewer has inflicted yet another historical wound upon the conscience of the nation.  The bill requires local police officers to demand proof of lawful residency from anyone they contact and who they believe is reasonably suspicious of being unlawfully present in the U.S.  This law not only sanctions racial and ethnic profiling but also weakens the fabric of our democracy.
