US Senate granted the legal fiction to corporations that they have the rights of a person back in the 1990's.

Upon this law, the Supreme court placed the recent gift of allowing corporations to outspend citizens in elections.

We actually need a constitutional amendment to make it clear forever that companies do not have the rights of persons,  but for now, we need the US Senate to END THE LEGAL FICTION THAT CORPORATIONS ARE PERSONS.

Dear Senators,

Please write a bill & vote to end the legal fiction that corporations have the rights of a person.

The current law makes it impossible to pass referenda in states which allow referenda to be passed by 2/3rds, because the companies which are the target of referenda make up similar sounding referenda and pay for signatures to get it on the ballot and no one can get 2/3rds.

Also, now that corporations can outspend any citizens on federal elections, we must end the legal fiction that companies are people, as the start of ending the right of companies to interfere in the electoral process.
