I have an idea that will save the state a few million dollars.   I’ve submitted this idea to the governor and at least two state legislators without so much as a reply.   The governors’ office did send out a canned reply that never addressed the issue.   My idea is simple and other states have adopted it successfully.    Eliminate the front license plates from automobiles.   Many people don’t use them now for appearance sake.    I believe that we could eliminate fifty percent of the costs of license plates across the board.    Material, Labor, Energy,  Storage,  Shipping and Handling and these are on going costs that we will save every subsequent year.  It has to amount to a few million dollars a year.
