About this Petition Petition Letter

This is a campaign to break the two party duopoly by petitioning elected public officials to abandon the Republicans and Democrats and not caucus with them and not attend any meetings of the R's and D's. I advocate asking elected officials to do the following:

1) Look at parties in their districts that have ballot access and choose a new party if they find one they like.

2) Change their registration to indicate that they do not want to be a member of either the Democrats or the Republicans. This means they could register as "Decline to State," "I do not wish to be enrolled in any political part," or some variation thereof.

3) They should not register "Independent" or "Independence" unless they like the political party using that name of which there are several. I advocate using # 2 above.

Are you fed up with the two party systems? Do you believe in your heart of hearts that neither the Republican nor Democrat Parties are up to the task of taking care of the peoples’ business? It is time to leave those two parties and move on to taking care of your fiduciary responsibilities to those who elected you to represent them. It is time for the dedicated men and women who are elected officials to become leaders rather than followers. Please take one of the following actions:
