Drop Michelle Rhee: A Petition to Stop Pushing Petitions by StudentsFirst on Change.org

The Issue

StudentsFirst is an education reform lobbying organization whose main goal is the elimination of job security for public school teachers. It was founded by Michelle Rhee, the controversial ex-chancellor of the District of Columbia Public Schools. Unfortunately, Change.org seems to be squarely in StudentFirst's corner, actively encouraging its users to sign the organization's petitions. For instance, a petition in favor of paying teachers based solely on their students' test scores was cleverly titled "Pay Effective Teachers What They Deserve" and classified as "urgent" by Change.org.

This favoritism is clearly dishonest, as it can easily lead people unfamiliar with StudentsFirst and its radical agenda to support an organization whose goals they may completely disaggree with.  What's good for StudentsFirst is bad for teachers and organized labor, and what's bad for teachers and organized labor is bad for students and all middle-class Americans.
