I am a member of "freecharitycars.org", which donates vehicles to needy individuals and families, whether they are elderly, disabled, out of work, etc.  As a woman on disability AND who lives in a rural area, I can attest as to how hard it can be to maintain one's independence without reliable transportation!

I used to work for the Federal government and can attest as to how well maintained government vehicles are!  One of the things I was responsible for while working as a clerk at USDA was to coordinate maintenance for our fleet of government cars.  Nothing - I mean nothing - was let go, even oil changes.  GSA sells used cars to the public on a regular basis and there's no reason why at least some of those vehicles can't be donated to the needy!

President Obama campaigned on "change we can believe in."  I would encourage anyone reading this petition to sign it & help bring about the change a desperately needed vehicle would bring to a needy person's life!  Thank you!  God bless you!
