As a part of the Kucinski Wildlife Foundation's W.T.I Project (Wildlife Trade Investigation) we would like you to take  a Pledge to help discoourage the trade of exotic animals in pet shops. The KWF  do understand the complexity of trade in society today but strongly believe that the selling of live animals in our local pet shops has a terrible impact on species and their natural habitats.

Animals belong in their own environment, play an important part in many livelihoods of local communities and each and every animal support the ecosystem. The selling and owning of such exotic animals is both detrimental to our wild places, the other animals it supports and it is also very cruel to have an animal imported to a life in a cage or aquariam where it can't display it's own natural behaviour despite how well they are looked after.

We do support those who help rescue such abandoned animals and appreciate the work dedicated to the care of exotic animals left without homes because they got out of fashion, boring, portrayed destructive behaviour or just got too large. But really, we would love for the initial trade of exotic pets to be stopped so such things never come to pass.

Animals belong in their natural habitat!
