The need or benefits of the Daylight Saving Time (DST), if any, are definitely outdated and over exaggerated by the special interest groups (afternoon entertainment, sports and shopping malls) by contributing and giving false arguments to the local and federal politicians in the Western rich countries. One can see that countries in the North and extreme South will have very short daylight during winter and a very long one during the summer. But, that is a fact of life for these territories and trying twice a year clock adjustments for everyone there is absurd and obsolete in this electronic age. It is a proven fact that there are no energy savings observed by practicing DST and yet it causes undue extra confusion and work for people and institutions to change the times on all the clocks, appliances, vehicles and the large expensive computer systems. Following are my points in support of keeping uniform clock time throughout the year and disbanding completely the practice of twice yearly clock adjustments for DST.
