June Mason is being let go at Jacksonville Animal Care & Protective Services due to Budget Cuts. They are putting someone in her position with no experience in Adoptions or Rescue.

June as been instrumental in helping cut euthanasia numbers at this shelter from a high of 19,242 in 2007 to 9,323 last year.. This year the shelter was named the Outstanding Animal Control Agency of the Year for Florida. Recognized out of more than 130 agencies in the state. She reaches out to rescues all over the State to save the animals at this shelter.
