Patients who need physical therapy in Florida cannot directly see their therapist for care. 

This petition will improve access for people with arthritis, strokes, pediatric patients, people with sports injuries, joint and muscle problems and other types of movement difficulty.

Currently, patients are required to go see their physician even when the diagnosis is straightforward, like an ankle sprain.  Physician practice may drive up costs unecessarily by the use of unwarranted imaging, such as x-rays and MRI.

Physical therapist can diagnose disabling conditions, such as arthritis, and can rule out medical conditions, such as bone fractures and stroke, with better accuracy than expensive imaging scans.

Signing this petition will improve patient access, lower costs and get patients better faster.
