African Americans whose ancestors lost their native language, centuries ago. African Americans have been deprived of the gift of speaking and learning this language. Not only has generation after generation since the natives of Africa lost it's native language ,the history of the African native cultures have been abandoned as well. I feel that it is extremely important that teaching not only African American children but all children the language of Kiswahili in our schools, it would be an asset to a culture as well as a nation. Two reasons I ask of this, one reason is you have many of African Americans children’s as well as adults that take trips back to Alkebulan (Africa) after getting their DNA done once they find out what country that they are mostly related too and two it will bring closeness and less violence in our communities. We can relearn our cultures and teach it in our homes and be able to pass it on for our future generations to come
